Education
Karl is a qualified English teacher at secondary level. He has taught in England for six years and he taught English as a Foreign Language for a year. He is currently the Head of English at The Astley Cooper School (http://www.astleycooper.herts.sch.uk).
He established The Astley Cooper School's author visits programme, which has seen a number of well-known and bestselling authors visit the school for readings, question-and-answer sessions, workshops and book signings. Visitors have included Jodi Picoult, Frederick Forsyth, Sophie Hannah, Mark Billingham and Joanne Harris. More visits have been arranged for the upcoming academic year. This year Astley Cooper will welcome James Barrington/James Becker, John Connolly, RJ Ellory, Matt Hilton, Robyn Young and many more still to be confirmed. Everyone is welcome to each event, which will include a book signing organised in collaboration with Waterstone's Riverside, Hemel Hempstead.
